Indian Football Calendar 2024: Major tournaments to look forward to in May

The regular season for the Indian football top-tier leagues will conclude in this month.

The month May comes with some interesting footballing actions on Indian soil. The first week itself will hold the utmost thrill as fans are going to witness the final of Indian Super League 2023-24 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

Apart from the above mentioned fixture, the final round U-17 Youth league, final round of 28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2023–24, AIFF Sub-Junior League, Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Football Championship and the Gujarat Super League are also scheduled in the month. 

Indian Super League 2023-24

After a long season, the ISL has reached the final stage where the Shield winners Mohun Bagan will face Mumbai City at the Salt Lake for the title.

May 4 : Mohun Bagan Super Giant vs Mumbai City FC 

28th Senior Women’s National Football Championship for the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2023–24 

The final round of the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy also begins from May 1, 2024. The teams are divided into two groups and the final of the tournament is scheduled on May 15, 2024.

• May 1, 2024 – May 15, 2024 (Group and Knockouts)

AIFF Sub-Junior League

The AIFF Sub-Junior League is also moving towards an end in the month which also marks the end of the season for the sub-junior boys. 

• May 1, 2024 – May 13, 2024

Swami Vivekananda U20 Men’s National Football Championship 2024

The Nation Football Championship which started in April will move to the final round in the month of May. 

• May 2, 2024 – May 22, 2024 (League Stage and Knockouts)

Gujarat Super League 2024

The Gujarat Super kicks off with six teams. After the league stage the final match will also be played in the month of May. 

• May 1, 2024 – May 12, 2024 (League Stage and Final Match)

U-17 Youth league 2023-24

The U-17 Youth League will begin from May 14, 2024 and will be played for around 121 days with the final match being scheduled on May 25, 2024. 

• May 14, 2024 – May 25, 2024

Reliance Foundation Development League

The RFDL will witness the semi-finals and final in this month.

• May 14, 2024 – May 18, 2024
