Coca-Cola commits three-year support to Indian Women’s Football Team

A huge boost for the Blue Tigresses in the new year!

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) president, Kalyan Chaubey, has announced a major boost for the women’s game as soft drink giant Coca-Cola has committed to sponsoring the Indian Women’s football team for the next three years. Speaking at a recent event, Chaubey noted women’s football in India has significant scope for growth and recognizes the new sponsorship as key to providing proper backing to compete at the top level.

The AIFF President highlighted the recent support and intervention from the Union government for helping Indian football navigate through a prolonged period of uncertainty. He added, “So for football, just like Honourable Minister is always there with kind heart to support, Coca-Cola has said they will support Indian women football team for next three years.”

Indian Women are tasting a new feeling

Under the three-year agreement, Coca-Cola will support the national women’s team across the three years, with a focus on providing qualified international coaching and organizing overseas exposure tours. Chaubey said, “The objective is to make sure our women players receive proper coaching and international exposure so they can compete on an even field with the best football-playing countries.”

He added, “Support like this ensures they do not fall behind simply because of limited access or infrastructure.” The AIFF president also highlighted the role of corporate partnerships in building a sustainable ecosystem for women’s football, noting that long-term sponsorships are critical for planning, performance, development and player confidence.

Chaubey also thanked Coca-Cola Southwest Asia President Sanket Ray for the company’s commitment to Indian women’s football, while describing the partnership as a welcome and timely step. He said such collaborations signal growing confidence from the corporate sector in the potential of women’s sport in India.

The announcement comes at a time when women’s football is gaining greater visibility domestically and internationally as they gear up to play in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asia Cup in Australia in a few months. Federation officials believe structured backing over multiple years will help bridge the gap between Indian players and elite international standards.
