Carles Cuadrat’s men will look to bounce back against Kerala Blasters.

The Indian Super League (ISL) recently kicked off its eleventh edition and is now up and running in full swing. The first game week is done and dusted and the focus now shifts to the second where Kerala Blasters will host East Bengal in front of a jam-packed stadium in their second home game of the season.

Kerala Blasters have had a forgetful start to their campaign having lost their opening game against Punjab FC in the dying moments of the game. Punjab opened the scoring in the 86th minute before the Blasters secured an equalizer in the 92nd minute, but then Filip Mrzljak took matters into his hands and silenced the crowd with a 95th-minute winner.

East Bengal too are on the same page having faced a defeat in their first game against Bengaluru FC despite assembling a marvelous squad over the summer. The Red and Golds looked out of sync and just couldn’t implement plans on the pitch in their first outing. It was nothing short of an awful performance by Carles Cuadrat’s star-studded unit.

Well, what’s done is done and now both teams will be keen to bounce back to winning ways and get their season up and running. The onus will be on Kerala Blasters to give something to their fans to cheer about while East Bengal will want to get the most out of their all-star XI.

On that note, let us take a look at the head-to-head records between these two sides.
