Thangboi Singto’s team will aim for their first victory of the season against the Marina Machans.

Hyderabad FC are set for their first home game of the Indian Super League (ISL) season 2024-25 season, against Chennaiyin FC on Tuesday. The GMC Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli is expected to be jam-packed, as the match promises to be an exciting contest with both teams aiming to bounce back from a lackluster start to the season.

Chennaiyin FC had a mixed start to the season, securing a win in their opening fixture against Odisha FC but suffering a home defeat to Mohammedan SC. The Marina Machans are currently ranked ninth on the table, and a win here would lift them into the top 4.

Hyderabad have had a rough start to the season, suffering consecutive defeats against Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC. Thangboi Singto’s side will also be without their first-choice left-back, Leander D’Cunha, who was sent off in the previous fixture against Punjab.

Hyderabad FC currently sits at the bottom of the table, having failed to secure a point so far. They will be looking to bounce back from these setbacks and seek their first win of the season, which would be a delight if it comes at home in their first home fixture.

The game is sure to be a closely contested match, as both teams are desperate for a victory to improve their position in the table. However, the onus will be on Hyderabad to give their fans something to cheer for, while Owen Coyle’s side will be determined to secure all three points.

In this context, let us take a look at the head-to-head records between these two sides.
