Real Kashmir FC will host Antonio Lopez Habas’ Inter Kashi FC in the next round of the I-League at the TRC Turf Ground in Srinagar. The match is scheduled for 2 PM on December 9th, 2024. Both sides will be eager to secure a victory and solidify their position in the league table.

Both the teams have had an impressive start for the season with two wins and a draw. A victory for either side would cement the top position in the I-League table.

Inter Kashi head coach Antonio Lopez Habas spoke to the media earlier ahead of the clash between both teams.

Antonio Lopez Habas thoughts

“For me, it’s one match more, but we need to win another match. It’s a very difficult match for us because Real Kashmir is a good team but the condition of the pitch, I think is not the best condition. We have to adapt, we are professionals, we have to play on all surfaces, against all teams and no excuses for winning the match.”

Real Kashmir are a force to be reckoned with at home and have an incredible form at home. Not only do they have the advantage of the home ground and the fan support, but they also have the advantage of being used to playing at a high altitude. Talking about that advantage this is what the tactician said.

“Yeah, because at the moment it’s a strong home ground because we only play at home, but yes, we don’t lose the matches. We are a good team, it was an opportunity to get a positive result in this visit, with all respect for the opponent I think that we can win also,” Antonio Lopez Habas stated.

Antonio Lopez Habas acknowledged the challenges posed by the high altitude conditions. Despite the difficulties, the coach expressed his confidence in his team to adapt and compete effectively.

“Yes, this is an important element. I trained in Bolivia with the Bolivia national team. We are playing at an altitude of 3,800 meters. In this condition, it is very, very difficult. But now we don’t think about the possibility of one negative element in the match. We have to analyze the opponent, we have to play in the same conditions, normal conditions. The opponent is difficult, the ground is difficult and the altitude is also difficult.

“But for us, my team is prepared to come back in every situation. No excuses, the maximum to the team is no excuses. No excuses to the referee, no excuses with the opponent, no excuses with the pitch, no excuses with the altitude, no excuses with everything. This has to be our philosophy,” Antonio Lopez Habas concluded.
