Young tigers set the preparations for the upcoming AFC U17 Asian Cup
As revealed by Khel Now earlier, the India U17 men’s team will play two friendly matches against Türkiye in Antalya, Türkiye, on February 10 and 12, 2026, as part of their preparations for their upcoming major tournaments.
Blue Colts head coach Bibiano Fernandes has named a 24-member travelling squad for the games. India are preparing for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026, the draw for which will be held on February 12.
The matches will serve as crucial preparation ahead of the AFC U17 Asian Cup. Earlier this month, India played two friendly games against Tajikistan U17 in Margao, winning 4-2 and drawing 0-0.
Türkiye are preparing for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2026 and FIFA U17 World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Türkiye are two-time former champion of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship and a semi-finalist at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2005. Türkiye have a strong foundation regarding the youth level of football, as they will also be ready to face the Indian U17 team.
