India’s chase to the 2026 FIFA World Cup third round will grow strong if they can win against Kuwait. The Blue Tigers are currently preparing for their game against the Blue Wave in Kolkata.

It will be India’s fifth match in Round 2 of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Preliminary Joint Qualification. India last faced off against their opponents Kuwait on home soil in their opening fixture of the World Cup Qualifiers.

In the qualifiers, however, Igor Stimac’s side are grouped alongside reigning Asian champions Qatar, and neighbors Afghanistan and Kuwait in Group A. The Blue Tigers will face off against 2022 FIFA World Cup hosts Qatar on June 11 after their clash against Kuwait on June 6.
