Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur drew their last match 1-1

Kerala Blasters FC are all set to lock horns with Jamshedpur FC on the 18th of April 2026, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, as both teams face each other in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26, as the league enters its decisive phase.

Kerala Blasters, after a heartbreaking draw against NorthEast United FC, conceding a late equaliser, will be eying a solid statement win against Jamshedpur, while the visitors, confident from scoring a late equaliser against Mumbai and securing a deadlock, would be looking forward to building upon the momentum and keeping their title hopes alive.

With both teams hoping for nothing less than a victory at Kochi, the stakes for the Kerala Blasters FC vs Jamshedpur FC match are high, and so are the expectations.

The Stakes

Kerala Blasters FC, ever since the arrival of Ashley Westwood, have been in a completely different state. The team, which struggled to perform in their first six matches, managing to bag only one point, scored four points in three games under Ashley Westwood.

Even though the Blasters currently have a breathing space from the relegation trap, the battle is far from over.

Therefore, the Tuskers, even though an uphill task, will be looking forward to fetching maximum points in the match, which could completely take them out of the speculations of getting relegated.

Jamshedpur FC, currently sitting fifth in the league table, will be expecting nothing less than a win against Blasters at Kochi. After three thrilling draws against SC Delhi, Mohun Bagan SG and Mumbai City FC, respectively.

A victory for Jamshedpur FC will definitely be a morale booster to reignite Jamshedpur’s push for the title. However, a loss could cause them to fall quite behind in the title challenge and extending their winless run to four games would be particularly demoralising.

Team News

As of now, both Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC do not have any major injury concerns or suspensions for their clash, providing both Ashley Westwood and Owen Coyle the autonomy to deploy their best roster for the crucial encounter.

The Kerala Blasters FC defender Ndiaye Fallou is expected to be the difference maker for the Blasters in their match against Jamshedpur FC. With the arrival of Fallou in the Blasters lineup, the defensive unit has got a relatively better shape and discipline, even though there is plenty of room for improvement.

The defender has been exceptional for the Blasters in the backline, making some timely tackles and thumping interceptions to ensure that no balls get past him. Along with doing his defensive duties, Ndiaye has also ventured deep into the attacking third to create trouble for the opponents.

In the match against Punjab FC, it was Fallou who scored the solitary goal for the Tuskers. In their latest match against NorthEast United FC, Fallou timely neutralised the opponent attacks and even played a major role in the goal scored by the Blasters, helping the team win one point.

Following the game, he was also awarded the man of the match award for the game.

Jamshedpur FC – Raphael Messi Bouli

The Jamshedpur FC striker, Raphael Messi Bouli, will be the key player to watch out for in the match against Kerala Blasters FC. A former Blasters striker, Messi Bouli, despite not having one of his best seasons so far, will be looking forward to delivering a statement of intent at a familiar venue.

With a good physicality and an ability to make some accelerated dribbles, Messi will be a potent threat for the Blasters throughout the game, especially in the final minutes, where the Blasters have been conceding lately.

Whenever the intensity of the Blasters drops in the final quarter of the game, if Messi Bouli can properly capitalise on that, he could score a couple of goals and build come confidence and momentum for the upcoming matches of the season.
