KPS Studios to handle ISL 2025–26 broadcast production

The Indian Super League (ISL) 2025–26 season is set to showcase a new standard in broadcast production, with KPS Studios taking charge of world-feed operations for all matches. Entrusted with live camera setups, feed creation, technical coordination, and match coverage, KPS will be responsible for delivering a seamless viewing experience to fans across platforms.

With this role, the company becomes the backbone of the league’s broadcast, ensuring that every moment on the pitch is captured professionally and distributed efficiently to streaming and broadcast partners.

What was the KPS Studios package deal worth?

FanCode wins ISL 2025–26 broadcasting rights; KPS Studio to handle production

KPS Studios secured the world-feed production rights for the ISL 2025–26 season after submitting the lowest valid bid of ₹5.22 crore for Package E. The deal places KPS in charge of the league’s entire live broadcast production, making it responsible for how ISL matches are visually presented to fans across platforms.

As part of the agreement, KPS will oversee multi-camera match coverage, on-ground technical operations, broadcast feed creation, and delivery from stadiums across the country. The world feed produced by KPS will then be distributed to the league’s official broadcast and streaming partner, FanCode, ensuring uniform coverage for viewers regardless of the platform they watch on.

AIFF will have to pay ₹5.22 crore for the match production of the ISL matches. The arrangement positions KPS as a central pillar of the ISL’s broadcast setup for the 2025–26 season.

Broadcast production specifications issued by AIFF earlier

As per requirements mentioned earlier by the AIFF, each ISL match will be produced using a minimum 10-camera setup to ensure comprehensive on-field coverage.

This includes 8 manned cameras and 2 unmanned units positioned behind the goals, allowing broadcasters to capture every key moment of play from multiple angles. 3 cameras will operate along the Centre line to follow the natural flow of the game, while 2 dedicated offside cameras will assist in capturing tight decisions and enabling accurate replays.

The production plan also places strong emphasis on goalmouth action and match atmosphere. 2 unmanned cameras behind each goal will provide additional angles for goals, penalties, and close-range chances. Alongside these, a reverse or VIP camera will be used to capture crowd reactions, bench activity, and coaching staff responses, while a handheld camera will focus on player walkouts, celebrations, and post-match moments to enhance the overall viewing experience.

In addition, provisions have been made for the use of a high-corner or drone camera, subject to venue conditions and regulatory approvals. This elevated angle will offer viewers a broader tactical perspective, helping illustrate team shapes, set-piece organization, and the overall flow of the match from above, adding another layer of depth to ISL’s broadcast presentation.
