ISL 2025-26: Mohammedan SC complete squad for upcoming season

The Black Panthers are aiming to conquer ISL 2025-26 with the entire Indian squad
With the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign fast approaching, Mohammedan SC looks to make a strong comeback into the competition after all their woes in their debut campaign. The Black Panthers are heading into their upcoming season with arguably the most unique squad for any team in the competition, after deciding to play in the 2025-26 campaign with only Indian players.
Indeed, Mohammedan SC have already confirmed their intentions to go with an all-Indian squad for the 2025-26 ISL season after they released all their foreign players after the end of the previous campaign. The Black Panthers have given Mehrajuddin Wadoo the opportunity to mount a potentially bright underdog story with the use of only Indian football, in an attempt to advocate the need to allow more Indian players get the spotlight in the ISL.
Mohammedan SC have formed a 23-man squad, filled with a variety of experienced Indian players and promising youngsters, to help them compete strongly in the upcoming ISL campaign. Now, we look at the complete Mohammedan SC squad for the upcoming ISL season.
Goalkeepers

Mohammedan SC have the same goalkeeping group as the 2024-25 season, having been able to hold onto all their goalkeepers for the upcoming campaign. Padam Chhetri was, of course, their first-choice goalkeeper for the 2024-25 ISL campaign and helped them keep five clean sheets in his 17 appearances for the club.
Bhaskar Roy also got a few appearances in his belt and he’ll fight for more playing time in the upcoming season, as he’s compete with Padam for that no.1 role. Subhajit Bhattacharjee remains the third-choice option for Mohammedan SC, and he as well as new signing Nikhil Deka will be competing in training sessions in the hope of climbing up the ranks in the goalkeeper’s pecking order.
Defenders

Mohammedan SC have, of course, lost key defender Joseph Adjei and ex-captain Samad Alli Mallick and they’ll need to make a few changes to their defensive line for the 2025-26 ISL. As they’ll be fielding an all-Indian defensive set-up, Wadoo will be relying upon players like captain Dinesh Meitei, Gaurav Bora, Zodingliana Ralte and Mohammed Irshad to be at their sturdiest to keep opposition forwards quiet.
The Black Panthers also have decent depth to their defensive options, with the likes of Joe Zoherliana, Vanlalzuidika, and Mohammed Jassim raising their chances of rotating the squad for keeping their options fresh.
Midfielders

The Black Panthers will be without their influential midfielder Alexis Gomez for the 2025-26 ISL campaign, while the sturdy Mohammed Kadiri has also exited the squad. That means bigger roles can be expected for players like Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Jeremy Laldinpuia as well as Abhishek Halder – who will need to be energetic and combative figures in the midfield line to keep them competitive in the big games.
The likes of Sajal Bag and Tangva Ragui can expect to get playing time in what might be their breakout campaigns for the Black Panthers, with the youngsters needing to be at their unpredictable best to add something unique to the Mohammedan SC squad.
Forwards

The fascinating aspect about Mohammedan SC and something that will keep them separated from almost every other ISL team in the 2025-26 season is that they’ll play an all-Indian forward line. Players like Roccharzela, Lalremsanga Fanai (who scored one goal last season), Makan Chothe and Thokchom Adison Singh will need to step up for the Black Panthers.
Mohammedan SC do not have a plethora of experienced options in their frontline, but the burst of speed and reactiveness that their youngsters can bring might be a trouble for opposition backlines. Wadoo just needs to ensure that his players are brave and clinical in key areas of the final third to scrap important results for his side.
