Odisha FC vs Chennaiyin FC: All time Head-to-Head record

Chennaiyin FC beat Odisha FC 3-2 at the Kalinga Stadium last season

Clifford Miranda’s Chennaiyin FC have had a bad start to their 2025-26 Indian Super League campaign, having lost their first two games to Mumbai City and Mohun Bagan.

While CFC showed some fight in their season opener, they were completely outplayed against the champions in Kolkata on Monday.

Odisha FC, on the other hand, played out a hard-fought draw against Inter Kashi on Tuesday. The Kalinga Warriors started their preseason camp only recently; however, they showed grit and impressive teamwork in their first game which was a surprise to most people.

The two teams will face each other on Sunday at the Kalinga Stadium with three important points up for grabs.

With the relegation sword hanging at the foot of the table, but clubs will be eager to climb up the ladder and ease the pressure off themselves.

Can Chennaiyin FC finally get points on the board?

The fixtures between Chennaiyin FC and Odisha FC have been quite entertaining since the Kalinga Warriors made their debut in the 2019-20 season. While the teams have played out 5 draws, only one has been a goalless affair.

In their 12 encounters, both sides have hit a total of 39 goals, which equates to 3.25 goals per game. Given that both teams are yet to score in the ISL this season, this would be the best chance to get off the mark.

Farukh Chaudhary’s brace stole the show last season as Chennaiyin FC beat Odisha FC 3-2 at the Kalinga Stadium. In the 2023-24 season, Odisha FC came out 2-0 winners on their home turf. The 2022-23 season saw Odisha win 3-2 at home courtesy of a Nandhakumar Sekar goal in injury time.

CFC are unbeaten in their last three games against Odisha, picking up two wins. However, under Clifford Miranda, Chennaiyin FC have scored just one goal in five games, and this too was a freak goal scored by Samik Mitra in the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26.

With goals being the need of the hour for the visitors, can someone break the shackles for Chennaiyin on Sunday?
