ISL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals and most assists after FC Goa vs Inter Kashi

Sergio Lobera’s tenure as Mohun Bagan head coach starts with a victory over Kerala Blasters FC.
The 2025/26 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) began on February 14, providing fans with the much anticipated and most beautiful Valentine’s Day present.
Mohun Bagan SG and Kerala Blasters FC started off the 12th season of ISL at the renowned Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, ending a 10-month break that was nearly unbearable for fans, players, and club owners.
Mohun Bagan eased past Blasters with a 2-0 win

Mohun Bagan defeated Kerala Blasters FC 2-0 in the opening game of the 2025/26 ISL. Although the score indicates a two-goal victory for the Mariners, Sergio Lobera would be unhappy by the number of wasted opportunities. For the entirety of the game, Mohun Bagan was on the attack and had total possession.
Kerala Blasters, who had lost a few of important players, struggled to impress and were rusty throughout the match. The majority of the players demonstrated a lack of match fitness as a result of reduced matches in the previous ten months. Only a few Blasters players stood out; Kevin Yoke and Oumar Bah were among them. David Catala would hope his squad will get settled in quickly enough before the league’s 13-game season finishes.
FC Goa and Inter Kashi share the spoils

FC Goa hosted I-League champions and recently promoted Inter Kashi at the Fatorda stadium in Goa for the day’s second game. For over three quarters of the match, it appeared as though Inter Kashi would be the first recently promoted team to win in their ISL debut. Late in the first half, Prasanth’s goal gave Habas’s team the lead.
However, a harsh and reckless foul by Spanish goalkeeper Lluis Tarres resulted in a penalty kick and a red card. Dejan Drazic converted from the spot to equalize for the Gaurs. As the referee blew the final whistle, the game finished in a tie despite last-minute efforts by both teams. The game served as a reminder of how much FC Goa would miss players like Iker Guarrotxena & Borja Herrera throughout the season.
A brief look at the ISL 2025-26 points table

With only two matches played, Mohun Bagan sits easily at the top of the table with three points, having been the only club to win out of the four teams who competed on matchday 1. Kerala Blasters is at the bottom of the table, with no points and a goal difference of -2.
Inter Kashi and FC Goa are tied for second place on the standings, both with one point. Since they only played one game, scored and conceded the same number of goals, there is no difference between these two teams, which is why they are tied at second place. But both Antonio Lopez Habas and Manolo Marquez knew a draw is not enough as both the coaches have an elite mindset and would want to fight for the top spot no matter what.
Four more teams will be in action tomorrow. Jamshedpur FC will host Mohammedan SC in the early kickoff while Bengaluru FC will host Sporting Club Delhi, the newly rebranded club.
