East Bengal FC & Bengaluru FC played a 6-goal thriller

East Bengal FC and Bengaluru FC pulled off a thrilling encounter in today’s Indian Super League (ISL) match. The Red and Gold brigade welcomed their archrivals to the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata with a clear intention to get three points out of this high voltage fixture.

Ashique Kuruniyan broke the deadlock with just 12 minutes into the game and put the visitors in the lead.

Anwar Ali restored parity for the home side in just nine minutes before Suresh Singh Wangjam put the Blues ahead once again in the 39th minute.

Saul Crespo brought the game back on level terms in the opening minutes of the second half. Ryan Williams than restored Bengaluru’s lead in the 71st minute before Anton Sojberg rescued a point for East Bengal in the 97th minute.

Mumbai City FC continue to lead the table with 18 points while Mohun Bagan SG remained at the second spot with 17 points. East Bengal and Bengaluru FC have been promoted to third and fourth respectively with 15 points each while Jamshedpur FC have dropped down to fifth with fifteen points. FC Goa completed the top six with thirteen points.

Punjab FC remained at the seventh spot with eleven points while Inter Kashi took the eighth position with eleven points. SC Delhi remained at the ninth spot with eight points. NorthEast United FC and Odisha FC are ranked tenth and eleventh respectively.

Chennaiyin FC are positioned twelfth. Kerala Blasters are still ranked 13th on the standings and Mohammedan Sporting still find themselves at the bottom of the table.

  • Youssef Ezzejjari (East Bengal) – 7 goals
  • Effiong Nsungusi (Punjab FC) – 6 goals
  • Dejan Drazic (FC Goa) – 5 goals
  • Alfred Planas (Inter Kashi) – 4 goals

Players with the most assists in ISL 2025-26:

  • Ebindas Y (Kerala Blasters FC) – 3 assists
  • Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) – 3 assists
  • Miguel Figueira (East Bengal FC) – 3 assists
  • Anirudh Thapa (Mohun Bagan SG) – 2 assists
  • Madih Talal (Jamshedpur FC) – 2 assists
