The summer transfer window for the 2026-27 season is currently underway, with Indian Super League (ISL) clubs busy exploring the opportunities to strengthen their squad.
The forthcoming season is set to kick off on July 17 with the Durand Cup, while the ISL will commence from September 1, according to AIFF’s tentative calendar.
From defending ISL champions East Bengal FC to Mohun Bagan Super Giant and others, all the teams have been proactive in the transfer market as they gear up for the 2026-27 campaign.
However, the Mariners have taken the market by storm with statement signings within the first phase of the window. A few ISL clubs have already completed a couple of signings, but the rest of the ISL clubs are still in the process, with negotiations and transfer talks taking place.

Dejan Drazic (FCG to MBSG)
Yet another smart move by the Mohun Bagan Super Giant management. The former FC Goa player signed a two-year contract with the Kolkata giants for a whopping ₹2.85 crore-per-season deal.
Drazic’s experience of playing in Europe and his versatility on the pitch will add a different dynamic to the Mariners’ squad. The Serbian winger can seamlessly operate from multiple positions in the forward line, altering his flanks with his teammates.

Since Joni Kauko’s departure at the end of the 2023-24 season, the Mariners have experienced the shortcomings of not having a foreign central defensive midfielder who can not only shield the defence line but also anchor the midfield and initiate attacks from the heart of the pitch.

Boris Singh (FCG to EBFC)
