Bengaluru FC have officially announced the appointment of Renedy Singh as their Head Coach, as the club gets ready for the new Indian Super League (ISL) season. The Blues mutually parted ways with Spanish head coach Gerard Zaragoza on 14 November 2025 and have now turned to a familiar face, appointing Renedy Singh as the new Head Coach of the first team.

With the league going through a period of uncertainty, Bengaluru FC have chosen stability over fancy names. By promoting Renedy from within their coaching staff, the club has underlined its belief in continuity and internal leadership, trusting someone who knows the squad, the system and the club’s culture inside out to guide them forward.

A familiar face takes charge

Renedy Singh is a familiar name in Indian football, both on and off the pitch. A former captain of the Indian national team, he enjoyed a long and respected playing career, earning a reputation for his intelligence, leadership and professionalism. After hanging up his boots, Renedy smoothly transitioned into coaching, determined to build his own identity on the sidelines.

His return to Bengaluru FC in July 2023 as an assistant coach marked another important step in his journey. Signing a three-year deal, Renedy became deeply involved in the club’s day-to-day workings, developing strong relationships with the players and staff while aligning closely with the club’s footballing philosophy. That familiarity, coupled with his experience, has now made him the natural choice to step in and lead the team at a crucial moment.

Over the years, Renedy Singh has built his coaching credentials across the domestic circuit, serving in both assistant and head coach roles with clubs such as East Bengal FC and NEROCA FC.

Renedy Singh steps into the role at a testing moment for both club and country. The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the season has already disrupted rhythm and planning.
