ISL 2024-25 Final: Mohun Bagan predicted line up vs Bengaluru FC

Mohun Bagan will face Bengaluru FC for the second time in ISL Finals.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant are looking to end their 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign in emphatic fashion as they face Bengaluru FC in the Final on Saturday, 12 April, 2025. The Mariners will have home advantage on their side at the Salt Lake Stadium, but will need to put in a really compelling performance to outwit the Blues.
Jose Molina is fortunate enough to have the majority of his squad fit and available for this big game. Fortunately for the Mariners, they are not going to miss any major player for this game as they look to become the second team in history to win an ISL double.
The gaffer will be determined to put out his strongest possible XI, which could mean some important decisions to be made. With that being said, here we look at the best possible lineups for Mohun Bagan in the ISL Final.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
GK: Vishal Kaith

This is a bit of a no-brainer. Kaith has kept 15 clean sheets for the Mariners so far this season and has already won the Golden Glove Award. However, he’ll be under pressure to produce his best performance in the final.
The goalkeeper needs to be at his sharpest in terms of making crucial saves and also needs to be smart in distributing the ball around without any mistakes.
RB: Asish Rai
Thanks to his admirable consistency this season, Asish Rai has earned his starting role in the ISL final. He has won 89 duels and made 85 possession recoveries in his 23 appearances so far and was impressive in the semi-final, too.
Rai has to be proactive and agile with his defensive work to nullify Bengaluru’s pace and movement down his side.
CB: Tom Aldred
The 34-year-old centre-back has played a key to helping the Mariners keep all the clean sheets. He has won 91 duels and made 72 clearances in 25 games, trifling forwards with his rigid defending and reading opposition moves perfectly.
However, Aldred needs to maintain full concentration to keep the dangerous Edgar Mendez quiet and stop him from dictating his side’s tempo in the final third.
CB: Alberto Rodriguez
The towering Spaniard has been the commander-in-chief in Mohun Bagan’s backline, using his physicality and game-reading ability to excellent results. Rodriguez has already made 92 clearances and 97 recoveries in 21 ISL games, but is aiming to be at his dominant best in the final.
Rodriguez needs to be proactive in cutting out Bengaluru’s supply in his half, win duels and also move the ball forward. He will also be a threat in set-pieces thanks to his goal-scoring ability, which have already fetched him five goals.
LB: Subhasish Bose
The Mohun Bagan skipper will have many eyes on him. He has to be really agile and confident to deal with the dangerous Ryan Williams and stop him from bursting into open space in the final third. Bose has proven himself as a reliable defender already, winning 152 duels in 24 appearances.
He needs to use his energetic style to come up crucial defensive challenges to frustrate the Blues, and will also look to pop up in danger areas in set-pieces to add to his six ISL goals.

CM: Lalengmawia Ralte

Apuia was Mohun Bagan’s hero in the win over Jamshedpur FC, scoring the vital in their 2-0 win in the second leg. He’ll look to maintain his fantastic momentum to run the show in the midfield. Ralte has been an admirably consistent figure for the Mariners, making 131 possession recoveries in 21 games and helping them dominate games.
His ball retention ability, tendency to beat the opposition press will be key in the final. Apuia will look to be sharp in moving the ball forward and also proactive in hunting down the opposition players in winning it in key areas to help his side stay on top of Bengaluru FC.
CM: Anirudh Thapa
Thapa is back to full fitness and is adding that special spark in Mohun Bagan’s midfield. The experienced midfielder will look to frustrate the Bengaluru FC midfielders with his sharp pressing ability and ball-winning ability in key areas.
He’ll also be key in moving the ball forward quickly and could also be an asset because of his set-piece or crossing ability against the Blues.
RW: Manvir Singh

Manvir Singh has been enjoying a prolific 2024-25 season with Mohun Bagan and will look to top it off with a clinical performance in the final. He has scored five goals and grabbed four assists so far, as he remains an unpredictable threat for his side.
Manvir will look to use his pace, physicality, and incisiveness to torment the Blues in the attacking third. He could be a special weapon for Jose Molina, especially if able to nail his crosses and get himself into more goal-scoring chances to amplify his side’s goal-scoring threat.
LW: Liston Colaco
Liston Colaco is heading into the final in some impressive final and the only Mohun Bagan to player to have scored against Bengaluru FC in the 2024-25 ISL. Indeed, he scored an impressive goal in their 1-0 win earlier this season and aims to replicate his heroics in the final.
Liston’s excellent pace, dribbling ability can help him trouble the defenders, but he’ll be keen on nailing his crosses into the box or create space to blast in some powerful shots onto the goal.
SS: Jason Cummings

Jason Cummings aims to be peaking at the perfect moment in Mohun Bagan’s campaign. He scored in both legs in the semifinals against Jamshedpur FC and is oozing with confidence. Cummings will look to thrive under his free role in the frontline, but needs to be smart with his movement and link-up play to outwit the Bengaluru FC defenders.
He will look to sneak into the empty spaces into the final third before playing clever passes in between the defenders to help his forwards. Cummings will also be determined to get at the end of scoring situations or make the best with his set-piece delivery to help give his side an edge in the final third.
CF: Jamie Maclaren
Even though the Australian forward had a forgettable outing in the semifinals, he is recognized for his ability to excel in pressure situations like an ISL final. Maclaren has scored 11 goals so far this season, but will look to preserve his best performance for last. Jamie needs to tap into his unpredictable ability to trouble the defenders, which means he needs to nail his runs into the final third without the defenders getting any clue.
He needs to make better runs to get into clever goal-scoring situations and, more importantly, convert anything that comes his way. If Maclaren can tap into his ruthless goal-scoring touch, he can play a huge role in helping his side win the final.
