ISL 2024-25 Final: Mohun Bagan vs Bengaluru FC lineups, team news, prediction and preview

The in-form Mohun Bagan will face the red-hot Blues in the ISL Final on Saturday.
Indian Super League (ISL) club Mohun Bagan Super Giant are looking to capture a historic domestic double when they return home to the Salt Lake Stadium and welcome Bengaluru FC on Saturday (April 12) for the ISL Final.
The Mariners will be determined to end their season strongly with a statement win but must be wary of an in-form Bengaluru FC side who have shown an ability to score at will during the playoffs.
The Stakes
Mohun Bagan
Jose Molina’s Mohun Bagan has carried a lot of winning momentum from the regular season to the ISL playoffs this season. The Mariners enter the Final after a resilient performance against Jamshedpur FC at home. Goals from Jason Cummings and Apuia were enough to evaporate Khalid Jamil’s men and their first-leg heroics.
The Mariners will be determined to make their home advantage count against the Blues. A statement win will be the final flourish that Jose Molina and his men will be looking for in an impressive season in the ISL. The club has performed well against the Blues in the ISL Final in the past, having won against them in the 2022-23 Final on penalties.
Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru FC have shown impressive form in the ISL playoffs this season and have showcased a never-say-die attitude. A moment that highlights that uncanny ability was their last gasp winner against FC Goa. Gerard Zaragoza has gotten the desired response from his players during the 2024-25 playoffs.
The only question mark plaguing the Blues will be their defensive strength and how they maintain a stubborn defensive shape to frustrate Mohun Bagan and bolster their chances of getting a result. If they’re able to scrape through a win, Bengaluru would have displayed great resilience and achieved a remarkable turnaround from the 2023-24 season.
But another loss will pour cold water on the Blues’ efforts, and this season being marked as one of missed opportunity.
Team & Injury News
The Mariners are expected to have all their players fit and ready for action against the Blues. Suresh Singh Wangjam and Vinith Venkatesh are going to be doubtful for the game against the Mariners.

Players to Watch
Liston Colaco (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

Listo Colaco scored against the Blues in the regular season when the Mariners notcged a 1-0 win at home. The 26-year-old Goan forward from Davorlim has won the Super Cup with FC Goa in 2019. After joining the Mariners, he has been in sublime form for both his club and the country.
He was adjudged the “Mohun Bagan Footballer of the Year Award” in 2022 for his exemplary performances. With BFC relying on the young shoulders of Namgyal Bhutia, Liston could exploit the 25-year-old’s inexperience in high-pressure games for his benefit.
Edgar Mendez (Bengaluru FC)

The Blues attacker has been sensational during the ISL playoffs for his side and will be the first name on the team sheet for his side. Having made 23 appearances for his side this season during the league stages, Mendez scored seven times while setting them up four times.
He has also had an exceptional start to the ISL playoffs scoring two goals in three games. While Mohun Bagan Super Giant will be looking to take down the Blues, they will have to keep Mendez quiet over the 90 minutes and possibly extra time.
