Thangboi Singto also praised his players.
Jamshedpur FC are all set to host Hyderabad FC as an exciting clash awaits the fans at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur on 21st October. Both the teams are just coming back from the International break and will aim to score all the 3 points from the match in the Indian Super League (ISL).
Ahead of the battle between both the Indian tacticians, Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto spoke to the media earlier today and expressed how strong their opposition was and also heaped praise on their coach – Khalid Jamil.
“I think our record against Jamshedpur was very bad because when we came here last season We lost 1-0 and the player who scored against us was Rei Tachikawa who is still there with Jamshedpur and at home too we suffered a defeat by 0-5 and It was one of the worst defeats we had last season.”
“But this time a new season, a new coach for Jamshedpur, Khalid Jamil, I know him quitewell. During I-League time he was with Mumbai FC, I was in Shillong and we used to have battles, not individual battles, but team battles and we did the pro-license course together So I know him quite well on those lines.
“Khalid Jamil has been one of the pioneers for Indian coaches. Whichever team he takes, his team is always full of energy, fighting spirit and a lot of physicality and if you see, JFC is with 9 and we are with 1 point out of 3 matches, and This will be our 4th match. So the match will be, I think very physical and quick-paced,” Thangboi Singto asserted.
“I think Jamshedpur has always been a great place and on that note, I offer Our condolences to the Tata group, Ratan Tata ji who passed away recently was a great person. He was a great individual and an example.
“He has Our respect for Hyderabad FC as a team, individually too. I have come here earlier as well and the crowd has always been good. Without the fans, I think football is incomplete. So I think the Jamshedpur crowd has always been good. We appreciate them and we request them to support, of course, Jamshedpur FC, but to continue supporting Indian football as well.
“It’s always tough to play Khalid’s team. On the other hand, for us, as we have been regrouping, rebuilding, we have become a little bit fitter, a little bit more, you know, gelling as a team.
“I think the team has had time in this break to work on a lot of aspects of the game and tomorrow is a day where we will see whether our planning, in the break and whatever things we have been trying to improve, whether or not we have succeeded. A big test tomorrow. It’s going to be a tough match but we are prepared for it,” Thangboi Singto concluded.
