Inter Kashi aim back-to-back wins in ISL 2025-26 against relegation-threatened Mohammedan SC

Mohammedan SC are yet to register a point in the 2025/26 ISL.

Two past I-League champions, who share the same home stadium for the 2025/26 ISL, will face off on April 12, 2026, at the Kishore Bharati Stadium in Kolkata.

Mohammedan is struggling with no victories in the 2025/26 ISL season, whereas Inter Kashi is coming off a 2-1 away victory against Chennaiyin FC.

The Stakes:

Inter Kashi FC

Inter Kashi FC starting 11 vs Odisha FC in 2025-26 ISL

Inter Kashi, who had a great start to the season with two draws and a victory in their first three games, experienced a slump when they lost three straight games against Mumbai City, Bengaluru FC, and Jamshedpur FC.

However, Habas took a bold decision in the last game against Chennaiyin FC, starting only two foreigners despite having five available. And it worked in the club’s benefit, as the team returned to winning ways with a magnificent balanced performance. The all-Indian backline was on top of their game against the Chennaiyin attack.

Habas would aim to secure Inter Kashi’s first back-to-back wins in ISL history against a winless all-Indian Mohammedan team.

Mohammedan SC

While there have been worries about Mohammedan SC, Mehrajuddin Wadoo and his players are doing an amazing job on the field with the minimal resources at their disposal.

Wadoo’s team has been quite competitive in most games, with the exception of defeats against Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. While they have the ability to score goals and exhibit flashes of brilliance, they struggle to maintain focus throughout the game and ultimately lose.

While Inter Kashi has some very excellent players, they have demonstrated that their heads can drop during games, and Mohammedan will aim to capitalize on this to escape out of the relegation zone.

Team News:

Mohammedan SC is likely to have a totally fit young team for selection, with the exception of Joe Zoherliana, whilst Inter Kashi will be without Mario Barco, who remains sidelined.

Players to Watch:

Inter Kashi FC – Alfred Plannas

Alfred Plannas has been the team’s primary source of goals and creativity from the center of the park. The Spanish forward, who plays as a secondary striker, appears to get into strong scoring situations and has scored a number of them, scoring four goals, including a brace against Chennaiyin FC.

Plannas is likely to have more time on the ball against a low-block Mohammedan side, allowing him to perform his magic and create opportunities for his teammates from set pieces and open play.

Mohammedan SC – Lalthankima

Lalthankima in action for Mohammedan SC against Jamshedpur FC

Lalthnkima, a young Indian winger, has been in impressive form this season, receiving a call-up to the NT. Inter Kashi is anticipated to have greater control of the ball and press forward as a team for attacks, giving the Mohammedan wingers more room on counterattacks.

And Lalthankima will be critical in maximizing this space and creating scoring opportunities for his side. His link-up play with the striker will also be crucial in getting past huge imposing figures of Nishchal Chandan and Narender Gahlot.
