Jamie Maclaren is set to leave Melbourne City FC at the end of this season.

The defending Indian Super League (ISL) champions Mohun Bagan have already started their planning for the upcoming season and have offered a big money deal to Australian international Jamie Maclaren, who is set to leave A-League outfit Melbourne City FC at the end of the season.

The A-League’s all-time top scorer has reportedly reduced the number of suitors to three after receiving 12 firm offers, with Melbourne City FC attempting to re-sign him, according to Australian news outlet FTBL.

The Middle East and the Major League Soccer (MLS) are further choices for the striker from down under in addition to India, where ISL champions Mohun Bagan are the front-runners to sign the 30-year-old attacker.

Mohun Bagan’s offer

The ferocious target man has received an offer that he possibly can’t refuse from the Champions of India. The Mariners have offered Jamie Maclaren a multi-year contract worth $500,000 a season making him one of the highly paid players in the league. If Maclaren signs for them, he will join Mohun Bagan’s strong Australian unit that consists of Dimitrios Petratos, Jason Cummings and Brendan Hamill.

Maclaren set to leave Melbourne City FC

The striker recently confirmed that he will be leaving Melbourne City FC at the end of the A-League season.

“It’s a bitter-sweet moment for me to leave the club that I’ve called home for the past five and a half years. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve been able to achieve here, both personally and as a team. I came here to help bring success to this club and I leave knowing that I played my role in that, where together we’ve made so many fond memories and shared so much success,” he said on Tuesday.

Jamie Maclaren leaves with six trophies, including three Premierships and a Championship, along with 115 goals for the club.
