Mumbai City FC boss Petr Kratky revealed why he took off Alberto Noguera at half-time.
Mumbai City FC dominated their match against NorthEast United, securing a convincing victory propelled by Vikram Partap Singh’s outstanding hat-trick and a penalty conversion by Yoell van Nieff. The Highlanders struggled to match Mumbai’s pace and precision, appearing overwhelmed from the onset.
Petr Kratky’s squad displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, dictating the game’s tempo and effectively capitalising on scoring opportunities. With this win, Mumbai City FC ascended to the summit of the table, amassing 39 points and affirming their status as a formidable force in the league.
Let’s take a look at what Petr Kratky had to say after the conclusion of the game:
Thoughts on the game
Mumbai City FC dominated NorthEast United FC from the beginning. When asked what his thoughts were on the game, coach Petr Kratky replied, “I think we started very well. We scored early goals which helped us to achieve what we wanted to. I was very happy with the defensive transition. Overall, I am very happy with the performance. Vikram scored hat-trick, and I am very happy for him too.”
Hat-trick Hero Vikram Partap Singh
Vikram’s three monstrous goals led Mumbai City FC to victory over NorthEast United, earning him the Player of the Match award. Petr Kratky highlighted his performance and said, “Vikram scored three goals, but it’s the team performance. Because he gets service, he gets crosses and balls inside the box, he scores. Overall, I am happy with the whole team.”
Noguera’s Substitution
Mumbai City FC’s No.10, Alberto Noguera, was substituted at half-time. “Just before the half time while, he highlighted some things not right with his body. So we just took a precaution,” the tactician informed.
