Mumbai City FC climbed to the top of the ISL Table after this win.

Mumbai City FC comfortably beat Juan Pedro Benali’s NorthEast United with a scoreline of 4-1. Young winger Vikram Pratap Singh scored his first hat trick in the Indian Super League (ISL). Dutch midfielder Yoell Van Nieff was the other goalscorer for the Islanders when he scored the penalty in the injury time of the first half.

With the virtue of this win, Mumbai City FC claimed the top place in the ISL table compared to second place Mohun Bagan Super Giant who are currently on 39 points with one more game.

Meanwhile, NorthEast United FC are lying in the 9th position with this defeat and their fight for the race of playoffs has been impacted significantly. Currently, the Highlanders have notched up just 20 points in 19 games

Mumbai City FC set foot on the pedal earlier on in the game as a dynamic winger Vikram Pratap Singh scored 2 goals in the first ten minutes. It was a humongous task for the visitors to make a comeback. The home side made matters worse, scoring 3rd just before halftime through a penalty.

Jithin MS tried to bring hope with the goal in the 79th but the young Indian International put the game to rest by scoring in the 80th minute.
