NorthEast United FC vs Odisha FC: All time head-to-head record

NorthEast United are unbeaten in their last three games against Odisha FC in ISL.

NorthEast United FC, fresh off a 2-1 home win against Jamshedpur FC, will play their second home game of the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) season against Odisha FC on March 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.

The Highlanders have had a mixed start to the season. They began the season on a high note, winning the 2025 Durand Cup, but were eliminated in the group stages of the 2025/26 AIFF Super Cup. They lost 3-0 to Oscar Bruzon’s East Bengal to begin the 2025–2026 ISL season. Since then, they’ve gone unbeaten in four games, with three draws and a win over undefeated Jamshedpur FC.

Odisha FC, on the other hand, is the only team that has played only three games in the 2025/26 ISL season. Their matches against Punjab FC and SC Delhi in the first and fifth game weeks of the season have been rescheduled for later dates.

While TG Purushothaman’s team fought hard and drew with Chennaiyin FC and Inter Kashi FC, they were defeated 5-1 by Mohun Bagan SG, who were too strong for the Juggernauts that night.

While Odisha looks for their first win of the season and NorthEast United looks to continue their winning streak, let’s look at the past head-to-head record between these two teams.

Odisha ahead overall, NorthEast on top lately

NorthEast United FC head coach Juan Pedro Benali and Odisha FC captain Carlos Delgado

Odisha FC has met the Highlanders 13 times in all competitions since their rebranding (excluding two encounters between either team’s reserves and main teams). And one fascinating fact about these 13 games? There have never been any 0-0 draws in those games.

Odisha FC has a better record versus the Highlanders, having won seven of the 13 encounters between the two teams. However, NorthEast United FC has only lost once in four games against the Juggernauts since Benali’s tenure.

The most notable match between the two teams was in the 2023 Super Cup. Clifford Miranda’s Odisha FC defeated Floyd Pinto’s NorthEast United FC 3-1 in the competition semi-finals. The Juggernauts went on to win the Super Cup that year, giving the club its only silverware in men’s football.

Their most recent match was a thrilling 2-2 draw during the 2024/25 ISL season. Aleaddine Ajaraie scored twice for NorthEast United, while Thoiba Singh and Isak scored for Odisha FC, both of whom are still with the team and are significant players this season.

Why has Odisha FC just played three games in 2025/26 ISL?

Odisha’s matches against Punjab FC and SC Delhi have been postponed to a later date due to various issues.

Is Michel Zabaco available for Northeast United FC against Odisha FC?

Zabaco was taken off in the first half in their last match against Jamshedpur FC due to an injury and his availability is a doubt for the upcoming game.
