Hyderabad FC sit at the 12th spot in the ISL Table.

Hyderabad FC have pulled off another upset in the Indian Super League (ISL) with a dramatic 3-2 win against Jamshedpur FC in front of their home fans. The home side broke the deadlock through a counter attack with Mohammed Rafi scoring the opening goal of the match. A few minutes later Javi Hernandez was brought down inside the box and the Spaniard made no mistake in scoring the resulting penalty kick to make it 1-1.

Hyderabad FC gave away another penalty kick four minutes later and Javi Hernandez scored again to put his side 1-2 up. The Nizams came out all guns blazing in the second half and brought things back to level terms in the 69th minute. Joseph Sunny scored a screamer to bring his side back in the game before Andrei Alba released a shot from outside the box into the bottom corner to win the game. 

A brief look at the points table

Mohun Bagan continued their dominance at the top of the table with 37 points in 17 games. FC Goa remain intact at the second position with 30 points followed by Bengaluru FC at third with 28 points. Jamshedpur FC have not moved from the fourth position with 28 points. NorthEast United FC remained unchanged fifth with 25 points in 16 games. Odisha FC are still ranked sixth position with 24 points.

Mumbai City FC remain intact at seventh with 24 points in 16 games. Kerala Blasters continue to hold at the eighth position with 21 points. Punjab FC retained the ninth position with 20 points. The tenth and eleventh positions are held by Chennaiyin FC and East Bengal respectively. Hyderabad FC have been promoted to the twelfth position with 13 points while Mohammedan SC have dropped down to thirteenth with eleven points.

  1. Connor Shields (Chennaiyin FC) – 8 assists
  2. Alaeddine Ajaraie (NorthEast United FC) — 5 assists
