Manvir Singh was brilliant throughout the game showing his class against Bengaluru FC.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant outclassed Bengaluru FC in the recently concluded match of Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, on Thursday. From the very beginning of the match, the Mariners dominated the game. In the 17th minute, Hector Yuste scored the first from a rebound and gave the visitors the lead which was then extended by Manvir Singh in the 51st minute. 

Anirudh Thapa and Armando Sadiku scored the next two goals for the Mariners to help them secure a solid 4-0 victory in the match and grab the all-important three points. Sunil Chhetri missed a penalty earlier in the match, which could have changed the complexion of the game.

Let’s look at the standings in the ISL table.

A brief look at the points table 

Mumbai City remain at the top of the table with 47 points from 21 matches, while Mohun Bagan Super Giant follow them in second place with 45 points from 21 matches. FC Goa have moved up to third place after their recent win, acquiring 42 points from 21 matches. 

Odisha FC are currently placed fourth with 39 points from 21 matches, followed by Kerala Blasters in fifth position with 30 points from 21 matches. Chennaiyin FC have taken the sixth spot with 27 points from 21 matches.

East Bengal remain in seventh place with 24 points from 22 matches, while Punjab FC have settled in the eighth spot with 24 points from 22 matches. NorthEast United are now in ninth position with 23 points from 21 matches. Bengaluru FC end their disappointing season in 10th place with 22 points from 22 matches and are closely followed by Jamshedpur FC who are 11th with 21 points from 22 matches.

Hyderabad FC are the bottom-placed side with just eight points from 21 matches.

1. Madih Talal (Punjab FC) – 10 assists

2. Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan) – 7 assists

5. Amey Ranawade (Odisha FC) – 6 assists
