Both teams settled for a share of the spoils in the four-goal thriller.

NorthEast United FC have secured a big result on the road considering the current dynamics of the league. The Highlanders started the game on the front foot and had two early chances before their magic man Alaeddine Ajaraie opened the scoring in the 8th minute. The Moroccan released a bullet of a shot and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu had no answers to it.

Alberto Noguera restored parity for the home side a couple of minutes later with a wonderful strike from outside the box. Alaeddine Ajaraie put his side in the lead once again after capitalising on Gurpreet’s mistake. It seemed as if the visitors would become the first team to breach the Kanteerava, but Ryan Williams secured a crucial point for Bengaluru FC with an equaliser in the second half.

A brief look at the points table

Bengaluru FC remain at the top of the Indian Super League (ISL) table with 17 points in hand while Mohun Bagan hold the second spot with 13 points.
