ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 61, Odisha FC vs Mumbai City FC
Both teams failed to score despite hitting the barpost.
Mumbai City FC held Odisha FC to a goalless draw on their trip to Bhubaneswar. Deigo Mauricio created the first chance of the game and almost scored the opening goal, but his shot missed the target by the finest of margins. Nikolaos Karolis and Vikram Partap Singh brought Amrinder Singh into action in quick succession and the keeper made no mistakes.
Diego Mauricio hit the side netting once before Lallianzuala Chhangte and Jeremy Manzorro tried their luck on goal. Mumbai City FC came very close to breaking the deadlock on multiple occasions but Amrinder and his defenders outshined every effort from the Islanders. Chhangte almost scored in the closing stages of the game, but the crossbar came in his way and denied him an opening as the match ended 0-0.
A brief look at the points table
Mohun Bagan are still at the top of the Indian Super League (ISL) summit and Bengaluru FC continue to hold the second position. FC Goa still sit at the third position while Odisha FC have strengthened their position at the fourth spot. NorthEast United FC are still placed fifth and Punjab FC hold the sixth position but have a game in hand in comparison to their counterparts.
Things remain unchanged in the lower half of the table. Jamshedpur FC are placed seventh while Mumbai City FC hold the eighth position. Chennaiyin FC are still ranked ninth on the standings. Kerala Blasters hold the tenth position followed by Hyderabad FC at eleventh with seven points under their belt. The twelfth and thirteenth positions are held by Mohammedan SC and East Bengal respectively.
