Bengaluru FC face Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the final fixture of ISL 202-25

The Indian Super League (ISL) stage is all set for a grand finale as two strong teams, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Bengaluru FC, prepare to clash for the trophy. The iconic Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) Stadium in Kolkata will be the venue for this highly anticipated showdown, which is set to take place on April 12th 2025.

Bengaluru FC secured their spot in the ISL Final after a nail-biting two-legged semi-final against FC Goa. They had established a comfortable 2-0 lead in the first match played at their home stadium.

However, the away fixture proved to be a challenging one, with FC Goa managing to score two goals, leveling the aggregate score. Just when it seemed the game was heading for extra time, Bengaluru FC’s Sunil Chhetri, stepped up with a crucial injury-time goal, sealing a 3-2 aggregate victory for his team, pushing them into the ISL Final.

On the contrary, Mohun Bagan faced Jamshedpur FC. In the first leg, played at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Mohun Bagan managed to score only once, leaving them with a 2-1 scoreline.

However, in the away leg at their home stadium in Kolkata, Mohun Bagan had an incredible comeback. They managed to level the score when Jason Cummings successfully converted the penalty.

The best moment arrived in the dying moments of injury time when Apuia struck a dramatic goal, securing a 2-0 victory on the night and a 3-2 aggregate win, moving Mohun Bagan Super Giant into the ISL Final.

This achievement equals his peak performance from the 2017-18 campaign, showing his talent and impact on the team’s attacking
