Antonio Lopez Habas took the responsibilities of Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the second leg of the ISL.
The 2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL) has by far been one of the most entertaining and competitive editions in the history of the league. This season five teams are fighting for the top spot while six teams are battling it out for the sixth position in the league standings.
A lot has changed for teams ever since the turn of the year. While a few teams have changed fortune, a few others have experienced a bad run of form. It has been a season where head coaches have turned things around and have had a massive impact on their teams.
In this article, we will take a look at the top three head coaches in the ISL so far this season.
3. Khalid Jamil (Jamshedpur FC)

Khalid Jamil turned Jamshedpur FC from a Volkswagen to a Ferrari. From being considered out of the playoffs race to being a serious contender for a place in the top six, Jamil changed Jamshedpur FC’s fortunes on the pitch.
Khalid revolutionized everything from top to bottom and gave them a new look. Jamil has boasted the Red Miners with the much-needed confidence that they were lacking in the first half of the season. Under Jamil, Jamshedpur FC are currently placed sixth in the league standing and has accumulated 13 points in seven games so far this season.
2. Antonio Lopez Habas (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

The Spaniard reunited with the Mariners as their technical director ahead of the ongoing ISL season. He was pulling the string behind the scenes while Juan Ferrando was booking things on the pitch. But, after a run of unsatisfactory and disappointing results, Juan Ferrando was relieved from his duties while Antonio Habas took charge as the head coach.
Habas has turned things around big time in favor of the Mariners. He is making the best use of all the resources available at his disposal. The Green and Maroon brigade are undefeated in the league under Habas having won six games and drawn two while being placed second on the ISL league standings.
1. Petr Kratky (Mumbai City FC)

Speculations and doubts surrounded Mumbai City FC when their title-winning head coach Des Buckingham left the club midway through the season to join English League One side Oxford United, but Petr Kratky did very well to turn things around in his favor.
Krartky has maintained the standards that Des Buckingham put in place at Mumbai City FC and has handled everything that came his way. Despite injuries and suspensions to key players, the 42-year-old did not let things go wrong for his side. He won eight games and pulled off four draws while accumulating 28 points. The Islanders currently sit at the top of the league table with 39 points to their name.
