Messi is visiting India after 14 years.

Lionel Messi is set to visit Kolkata as part of his much-anticipated GOAT Tour in December 2025. The Argentine ace will begin the tour on December 13, with his first stop being in the city that is widely heralded as the ‘Mecca of Indian Football’.

Messi will actually be making his return to Kolkata after 14 years, having played in an international friendly between Argentina and Venezuela in 2011. The Inter Miami forward has millions of fans across the city, so his fans are excited to see the legendary footballer make his presence felt.

Lionel will be visiting the iconic Salt Lake Stadium as part of his ‘GOAT Tour’ show. His full touring list for Kolkata has also been revealed, detailing what can be expected from the Argentine legend in the city.

Messi is scheduled to land at the City of Joy on December 12, at around 1 PM, to get accustomed to the city before the Messi Tour event. He will participate in some sponsor events that day, but will be particularly busy on December 13 when the events start to really take place.

Apart from this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, as well as legendary players Leander Paes and Sourav Ganguly, are also expected to be at the venue for the event.

In the final bits of his time at the Salt Lake Stadium, Messi will do a lap of honour around the Salt Lake Stadium, in which he will show his gratitude to the supporters. After leaving the Salt Lake Stadium, Messi is also expected to visit Lake Town, where he will unveil his 70-foot-tall statue.
