Martin Group’s Dear Lotteries invests ₹2 Crore in Sikkim’s sports development

A portion of the funds will be allocated to the successful organisation of Season 3 of the Sikkim Premier League (SPL).

The Martin Group’s Dear Lotteries has contributed Rs 2 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The contribution in the presence of Chief Minister Mr Prem Singh Tamang was handed over to the District Collector of Gangtok, Mr Tushar Nikhare, in the form of a demand draft.

A portion of the funds will be allocated to the successful organisation of Season 3 of the Sikkim Premier League (SPL)—a flagship football event that has been instrumental in nurturing young talent and elevating the sporting culture in the state.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Dear Lotteries of the Martin Group for their generous support, acknowledging its crucial role in strengthening Sikkim’s sports ecosystem. He also extended appreciation to key officials, including Mr KR Shankar, Representative of Martin Group, Mr Pawan Awasthy, Principal Director of Sikkim State Lotteries, and Mr Tushar Nikhare, District Collector, Gangtok, for facilitating this significant contribution.

“This initiative will provide a strong platform for aspiring footballers and further reinforce Sikkim’s standing in the sports arena,” the Chief Minister stated, expressing optimism about the positive impact of this support in the coming days.
