The Indian Super League (ISL), since its inception in 2014, has become the pinnacle of club football in India. While attracting and playing some of the best domestic and international talents, clubs like Mohun Bagan, Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC have achieved varying levels of success.

Winning the title is a mark of consistency, resilience, and top-tier performance over a long and arduous season. While clubs take the spotlight, some players have lifted the trophy multiple times, carving a lasting legacy for themselves in the competition’s history.

Here’s a look at the top 10 players with the most ISL titles:

10. Hugo Boumous – 2 ISL Titles

A French-Moroccan attacking midfielder with magical feet and elite vision, Hugo Boumous is one of the league’s most technically gifted players. He won his first ISL title with Mumbai City FC in the 2020–21 season under Sergio Lobera and added another in the 2023–24 season with Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

A creator, Boumous is known for his dribbles, through balls, and ability to unlock tight defences with his elite passing.

9. Anirudh Thapa – 2 ISL Titles

Thapa has been one of India’s most consistent midfielders over the past few years, both in the national team and the ISL. He clinched his first ISL title with Chennaiyin FC during the 2017–18 season. Thapa’s second title came during the 2024–25 season with Mohun Bagan, where he played a more disciplined central midfield role.

Apart from Thapa’s in-game intelligence and ball retention, his leadership skills make him an invaluable asset to the Mariners team. He will be gunning for more in the 2025-26 season.

8. Apuia – 2 ISL Titles

Another player who won the title with Mohun Bagan in recent seasons was Apuia. A player who is a symbol of India’s new footballing generation, Apuia has already notched two titles. His first title came with Mumbai City FC during the 2023–24 season, while his second title came with the Mariners in the recently concluded 2024–25 season.

Apuia is known for his composure, control, and defensive awareness, and has matured rapidly and become a mainstay in Mohun Bagan’s midfield setup.

7. Bipin Singh – 2 ISL Titles

Bipin Singh has grown from a fringe player to one of the most explosive Indian wingers at Mumbai City FC. He scored the iconic last-minute winner in the 2020–21 final for Mumbai City FC and lifted his second title with the club in the 2023–24 season, cementing his name in the Islanders’ history.

Bipin’s pace, directness in attacking his markers, and clutch goals have been vital to Mumbai’s success in the league. While he was not able to inspire during the 2024-25 season, Bipin will be a key player for Mumbai next season.

6. Rahul Bheke – 2 ISL Titles

An experienced campaigner in Indian football, Rahul Bheke lifted his first title with Bengaluru FC in the 2018–19 season, famously scoring the winning header in the final in the 117th minute. The Indian defender further added a second title with Mumbai City FC during the 2023–24 campaign.

Bheke’s versatility in defence to play multiple positions and aerial prowess make him a dependable figure in high-pressure games. While he fell short in the 2024-25 playoffs, Bheke will be determined to win again during the 2025-26 campaign.

5. Tiri – 2 ISL Titles

The Spanish centre-back Tiri has been a consistent performer in the ISL for several years. Tiri won his first title with ATK in the 2016 edition and won his second title with Mumbai City FC in the 2023–24 season.

A calm presence in the backline, Tiri’s reading of the game, leadership, and composure on the ball have been instrumental in his team’s success.

4. Subhasish Bose – 2 ISL Titles

A no-nonsense defensive left-back, Subhasish Bose has also bagged two titles. His first title in his career came with ATK Mohun Bagan in the 2023 season. His second title came with Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the 2024–25 season.

A player known for his defensive solidity and commitment, Subhasish has been a pillar of strength on the flank and has matured into a natural leader. The reigning AIFF Player of the Year has also developed his game as a set-piece threat this season, as he contributed with goals in the 2024-25 season.

3. Vishal Kaith – 2 ISL Titles

The Mohun Bagan goalkeeper has emerged as one of India’s top shot-stoppers. Kaith played a crucial role in both of his title triumphs. His first title came during his time with ATK Mohun Bagan FC in the 2023 final and then with Mohun Bagan in the 2024–25 campaign.

Kaith is known for his sharp reflexes, penalty-saving record, and consistency in tight contests. He has also been improving with each passing season and will be a key player in the 2025-26 season.

2. Manvir Singh – 2 ISL Titles

A versatile forward, Manvir Singh has become an indispensable part of the Mohun Bagan frontline. He was a key member of the squad which helped ATK Mohun Bagan clinch their first title in 2023. He won his second title with Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the 2024-25 season.

A player capable of playing on the wings or through the centre, Manvir has effectively combined pace, strength, and tireless work rate, a mixture of traits that have made him a nightmare for defenders and a key figure in back-to-back title wins.

1. Pritam Kotal – 3 ISL Titles

Sitting atop the list is India’s defensive stalwart Pritam Kotal, the only player to have won the title three times in his career. His first title came with Atletico de Kolkata in 2016, followed by another with ATK in 2019–20. His final title win came with ATK Mohun Bagan in the 2022–23 season.

A player renowned for his consistency, tactical awareness, and commitment, Kotal has been the backbone of every team he’s played for. Whether he was deployed as a centre-back or as a right-back, his leadership qualities have been instrumental in organising the defence and guiding younger teammates to success.
