Punjab FC have signed five new players ahead of the Super Cup.

Punjab FC and Gokulam Kerala FC will kick-off Group C of the 2025 AIFF Super Cup at the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim. A rivalry that dates back to their I-League days, both sides will play off for the first time since the 2024 Kalinga Super Cup. 

The Malabarians are coming off dismal results in the 2025 IFA Shield. Since their last campaign in the Super Cup, they have managed to completely rebuild the squad, beginning with Jose Heiva taking over as head coach from Renjith TA.

Speaking on his switch to Gokulam, Jose Hevia added, “The club is putting everything on the field to make this team to win again the championship. With all my experience I’ve got here in India, the team can be a champion.”

Punjab FC sign Bikash, Arshdeep & three foreigners:

After competing in the recently finished Durand Cup with an all-Indian group, the Shers have added five crucial acquisitions, including three foreigners and two domestic players, to their already strong Indian core of young players. Foreigners include Dani Ramirez, Pablo Santos, and Samir Zeljković. Goalkeeper Ashdeep Singh arrives from Hyderabad, whereas Bikash Singh comes from Kerala Blasters.

“We are going all out in this tournament, and we need to get the glory for the club. We are prepared and really excited to begin the campaign. We are ready to roar. So, keep supporting us”, added Punjab’s captain Nikhil Prabhu on the season ahead.
