Despite being the only unbeaten team so far, Malappuram will be disappointed to have managed only one win in the tournament.

With three draws and a win, they are now in the fourth position with six points in their hand. Though Malappuram are in a position that seals qualification to the next round, the unpredictability of the tournament can turn the tables around.

For this reason, Malappuram must aim for all three points against Forca Kochi, which would take them to the top two positions with nine points.

A win will not only give the visiting team a massive psychological boost but will also potentially put them in a comfortable position, earning them a ticket to the semi-finals.

In their match against Thrissur Magic FC, Ramon Riego was substituted in the 10th minute due to an injury, and the Spaniard’s availability is not yet confirmed. Apart from that, Forca Kochi is expected to have their full roster for the match.

This season, Kennedy made his first impact in the match against Thrissur Magic FC. He came on as a substitute and rewrote the script of the game.

In their Northern Derby clash against Calicut FC, despite all odds, Kennedy’s game awareness led his team to come back from a losing position. In their latest match against the Kombans, Kennedy came in just after the break and scored the solitary goal in the 69th minute.

If Kennedy can continue to display his uncanny ability to provide goal contributions, he could probably be the difference maker between Forca Kochi and Malappuram FC.
