Both teams fought till the end in an exciting contest.
The thrilling second semi-final of the Super League Kerala saw Forca Kochi FC claim a 2-0 victory over Kannur Warriors FC, securing their place in the final against Calicut FC on November 10 at EMS Corporation Stadium.
The stadium was alive with fans from both sides, as Forca Cruz and Kannur supporters rallied behind their teams in an electric atmosphere.
Forca Kochi FC asserted control from the opening minute, maintaining a dominant presence on the field. Kannur Warriors FC, recognizing the stakes, adjusted their strategy, opting for a defensive setup to counter Kochi’s attacking style.
Kannur focused on exploiting counter-attacking opportunities to find their way to goal, while Kochi aimed to break through their opponent’s defensive line using a well-organized build-up play, targeting star striker Dorielton.
Despite Kochi’s efforts, they were unable to find the net, as Kannur’s goalkeeper Ajmal showcased his skills with a series of impressive saves that kept his team level. Kochi’s dominance was evident in the possession statistics, but Kannur’s strategy limited their scoring chances. On the other end, Kannur’s limited opportunities were comfortably handled by Kochi’s goalkeeper Hajmal, ensuring a goalless first half.

As the second half began, Kannur shifted gears, moving from a defensive approach to a more attacking stance. Lavsamba took control of the midfield, linking up with forward Asier Gomes to launch aggressive plays. Kochi, however, remained hungry for a breakthrough.
In the 72nd minute, the moment that would define the game arrived. Dorielton received a cross inside the box from the left, skillfully trapping it on his chest before executing a stunning bicycle kick that left fans and players alike in awe. This remarkable goal put Forca Kochi in front and is already being celebrated as one of the best goals of the league.
Just seven minutes later, Dorielton struck again, doubling Kochi’s lead with a composed finish that ignited the Forca Cruz supporters into a joyous frenzy, their victory chants filling the stands. Despite Kannur’s determined efforts to find an equalizer, Kochi’s organized defense and newfound confidence held firm, denying Kannur any chance of a comeback.
