Super League Kerala 2025: Updated Points Table, most goals, after Calicut FC vs Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC

Calicut FC edged past the Kombans 1-0 in the Super League Kerala.

The defending champions, Calicut FC, emerged victorious 1-0 against the Thiruvananthapuram Kombans on the first matchday of the Round 5 fixtures of the Super League Kerala at the EMS Corporation Stadium, Kozhikode.

Calicut FC started in the driver’s seat, in front of their vocal fans, as they approached the match with purpose and established their attacking initiative right from the opening whistle.

This paid dividend in the 12th minute as one such attack provided the hosts a corner, which was whipped into the six-yard box by Prashant. The ball went straight to the legs of Iury de Carvalho, who was blinded in the middle of the box and deflected to Alexis Sosa’s back and towards the back of the net.

Later, though, both Calicut and Kombans had their chances to register more goals, but they failed to do so, and at full time the match ended in favour of Calicut FC as they earned a hard-earned 1-0 victory in the Super League Kerala.
