Super League Kerala 2025: Updated points table, most goals after Thrissur Magic FC vs Malappuram FC

Thrissur Magic FC broke Malappuram FC’s unbeaten streak in the Super League Kerala 2025.

Thrissur Magic FC emerged victorious 2-1 against the only unbeaten team so far in the Super League Kerala 2025, Malappuram FC, in the final matchday of the Round 6 fixtures at the Corporation Stadium, Thrissur, for the first time in the tournament’s history.

Thrissur got off to a flying start, opening the accounts, courtesy of Ivan Markovic, who whacked in a powerful volley off a Bibin Ajayan cross. Just a minute later on the clock, Kennedy brought the scores back to level terms after slotting the ball into the top corner.

Later, after multiple failed attempts, the hosts yet again found the back of the net, this time with the services of Faiaz, who headed in a brilliantly whipped cross from Bibin Ajayan, who turned all his touches into gold, helping Thrissur clinch a famous victory against Malappuram in their first home match of the Super League Kerala.

With this win, Thrissur Magic FC are on a five-match unbeaten run and have regained their position at the Super League Kerala table with 13 points in the bag and a difference of +3. On the other hand, Malappuram, with three draws, two wins, and a loss, remains in the third position with nine points, with the same goal difference as Thrissur.

Among them, in second place are Super League Kerala defending champions Calicut FC, with 11 points and an impressive +5 goal difference.

Kannur Warriors are in fourth position with points the same as Malappuram FC, but they have a much inferior goal difference of 0. Kombans are just below them with 7 points, and Forca Kochi, yet to register a win, are at the bottom of the table.

Currently, Thrissur and Calicut are so close to officially qualifying for the semi-finals, while Malappuram, Kannur, and Kombans FC have to fetch maximum points to secure the next two slots.

The curtains are almost down for Forca Kochi, as even though mathematically possible, the chances of them progressing forward seem highly unlikely in this situation.

  • John Kennedy (Malappuram FC) – 4 goals
