AIFF Technical Committee recommend Chaoba Devi as senior women's team head coach

AIFF Technical Committee also discussed about the appointment of coaches for the men’s U-16 and Men’s U-19 teams.

The All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Technical Committee meeting, chaired by Mr. IM Vijayan, was held virtually, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

The meeting was attended by members of the Technical Committee, which includes Ms. Pinky Bompal Magar, Mr. Shabbir Ali, Mr. Victor Amalraj, Mr. Santosh Singh, and Mr. Climax Lawrence. The Technical Director of the AIFF, Mr. Syed Sabir Pasha was present in the meeting.

After extensive deliberations, the committee recommended Ms. Langam Chaoba Devi as the head coach of the Indian Senior Women’s National Team. The committee also recommended Ms. Priya PV and Ms. Ronibala Chanu as the assistant and goalkeeping coaches, respectively, for the Senior Women’s National Team. All three coaches recommended by the Technical Committee did duty for the Senior Women’s National Team during the Turkish Women’s Cup in Alanya, Turkey, in February 2024.

The Technical Committee discussed the appointments of the coaches for the men’s U16 and Men’s U19 teams. After going through the applications received, the committee recommended the following names:

U-16 Men’s National Team:

Head Coach: Ishfaq AhmedAssistant Coach: Yan Cheng LawGoalkeeping Coach:  Mohammed Zakeer Hussain

U-19 Men’s National Team:

Head Coach: Ranjan ChaudhuriGoalkeeping Coach: Sandip Nandy
