India vs Bangladesh Player Ratings: Liston Colaco, Rahul Bheke shine; Udanta, Farukh disappoint

India missed several chances to go up against Bangladesh.
India were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw in their first match of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers by Bangladesh at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong on Tuesday (25 March, 2025). The Bengal Tigers started the game in blistering fashion and had several chances in the first half, which were somehow kept out.
The Blue Tigers kept pushing for goals and even came close to scoring through efforts from Subhasish Bose and Sunil Chhetri in the second half. Ultimately, the two sides split one point each in this opening clash.
Here are the Player Ratings for the game.
India Player Ratings (by Uttiyo Sarkar)
Vishal Kaith – 5.0
Kaith was really fortunate not to concede seveal goals. He was nervous and sloppy when put under pressure, giving away the ball in some bad areas and putting his backline under pressure. Made an impressive late save.
Boris Singh – 6.5
Boris put in a tenacious effort on the right wing, working hard to neutralize Bangladesh’s movement through that side. He also created a few nice chances with his clever delivery.
Rahul Bheke – 7.0

Bheke continued his impressive form with another compelling defensive performance. He often popped up in the right places to make key clearances and moved the ball along nicely.
Sandesh Jhingan – 6.0
Jhingan was a bit rugged in his return for the Blue Tigers, being outpaced at times and outwitted on a few occasions. He improved as the game progressed, being especially solid in the second half.
Subhasish Bose – 7.5
Subhasish started the game superbly, making a huge goal-saving block early on. He was really made to work because of Bangladesh’s quick movement down his side, but came up with several key challenges. Came close to scoring twice in the second half, seeing a header go agonizingly wide.
Ayush Chhetri – 4.5
The FC Goa man had a tough game against the physicality and intensity of the Bangladeshi midfield. He failed to bully Hamza Choudhury and was often isolated in bad positions, failing to win key duels.
Lalengmawia Ralte – 7.0
Ralte was a composed and reliable figure in the midfield. He won the ball back several times and worked hard to disrupt Bangladesh’s flow as much as possible, and moved the ball smoothly too.
Udanta Singh – 4.5
Udanta failed to bring a special spark through the right wing. Despite making a few decent runs, his creative threat was low because of his underwhelming crossing.
Liston Colaco – 8.0

Liston was extremely unlucky not to get a goal contribution. He was a nightmare for the Bangladesh defenders with his excellent dribbles and forward movement. Swung in a number of inviting crosses but nobody could convert them.
Farukh Choudhary – 5.5
Farukh was involved in a few promising moments, but failed to take his chances. He wasted a big chance from open range by shooting at the goalkeeper in the first half and couldn’t create anything prominent.
Sunil Chhetri – 5.0
Chhetri had a frustrating outing against Bangladesh. His smart movement meant he got at the end of some nice chances, but his finishing was awry. Put a big header attempt wide before his substitution.
Substitutes
Naorem Mahesh Singh – 6.0

Mahesh Singh added more smoothness to his side’s midfield line. Created a big chance for Chhetri with a nice cross late on.
Suresh Singh – 6.0
Helped add more steel and energy to the midfield, enabling his side to get a better grip of the game in the last stages.
Brison Fernandes – 5.5
Brison couldn’t really add that much of a creative threat for his side, failing to get into promising attacking areas.
Ashique Kuruniyan – N/R
Kuruniyan couldn’t really get the chance of creating any major chances.
Irfan Yadwad – N/R
Worked hard in his late cameo but failed to get at the end of anything special.

Had a relatively quiet evening with few opportunities to get his jersey dirty. Marma controlled his box and defensive line against India.
Md Saad Uddin- 5.5
Had a relatively tough night with flanking Indian attackers, but stood firm after 90 minutes.
Topu Barman-5
Ended his night relatively early and was substituted in the 22nd minute. A sad night against India for Barman, who will be having a spell on the sidelines.
Shakil Ahad Topu-6
Was an able replacement for the injured Barman. Stood firm and made crucial interceptions.
Tariq Kazi- 5.5
Good first half, slowly faded in the second as India pressed up. A night for reflection for the Bangladeshi centre-back.
Mojibur Rahman Jony- 5
Good first half however got himself booked, and was not able to score.
Hamza Choudhury- 6.5
The best player on the field by a long way, looked calm and composed in the heart of Bengal Tigers midfield. Choudhury displayed his physical superiority with some big boy shoulder tackles against India’s midfielders.
Mohammad Ridoy- 5
Got himself booked in the game, and had a troublesome night against India.
Shekh Morsalin- 5
Morsalin was relatively unable to threaten Kaith in goal, who looked vulnerable on pressure.

Shahriar Emon- 5
Had an off night and was unable to work and creat scoring chances for his team.
Substitutes:
Mohammed Foysal Ahmed Fahim-5.5
Came on as a substitute, but unable to do a lot and bring energy to his team.
