Indian Football Team Player Watch: Aakash, Chhangte & Manvir impress; Gurpreet, Suresh need to improve

Khel Now is back with another analysis of the Indian football team players. This time the names of 23 players who represented the nation in the match against Vietnam in an international friendly have been listed again.
This report has been prepared based on the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Game Week 7 to keep the players’ performance updated, while keeping an eye on the upcoming international friendly against Malaysia.
The performances of the 23 players till the Game Week 7 of ISL.
Lallianzuala Chhangte – 8
Chhangte had a good outing this week. The Mumbai City FC skipper was on the scoresheet in his side’s 4-2 win over the Kerala Blasters. He also racked up an assist for the side and dropped in a good all-round performance.
Manvir Singh – 7.5
Manvir Singh was one of the best Indian players in the week gone by. He scored a goal and inspired his side to a win. The right winger executed 28/34 passes to perfection and had two shots on target. He also pulled off three interceptions and one tackle.
Aakash Sangwan – 7.5
The left-back played a crucial role in his side’s statement win against league leaders Bengaluru FC and contributed on either end of the pitch. Sangwan made two clearances and tackles each while winning the majority of his ground duels. He also had a shot on target and completed 2/2 dribbles.
Subhasish Bose – 7.5
Subhasish Bose put together yet another remarkable performance for Mohun Bagan. The Indian international kept things tight at the back with six tackles, five clearances, and one interception. And he capped it off with a goal.
Asish Rai – 7
Ashish Rai put up a good performance and inspired Mohun Bagan to a 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC. He made three interceptions and one tackle while executing a key pass. Rai won 3/3 of his ground duels and maintained a passing accuracy of 82%.
Vishal Kaith – 7
Vishal Kaith is one of the only two keepers in the entire league to keep a clean sheet in Gameweek 7. Kaith looked confident and made a save and a clearance while winning 100% of his aerial duels in the process.
Mehtab Singh – 7
Mehtab had a busy outing in his side’s dramatic win over the weekend. He made nine clearances, maintained a passing precision of 80% and kept a check on the opposition attackers.
Rahul Bheke – 7
The defender put up a good performance even though his side ended up on the losing end. He was very active at the back and five clearances, two blocks, four interceptions and a last-ditch tackle. He also completed 21/25 passes.
Lalrinliana Hnamte – 7
The defensive midfielder was in action twice this week. He had a good outing across both the games and also provided an assist in the process. He made five tackles and a clearance as well while winning the majority of his duels.

Brandon Fernandes – 6.5
Brandon had a decent outing in his side’s crucial win against the Kerala Blasters. He made an interception and tackle each while completing 13/18 passes. He had two shots off target and lost the ball 12 times.
Chinglensana Singh Konsham – 6.5
Sana returned to the starting XI for Bengaluru after serving a one-match suspension. He made a single clearance, won 1/1 of his aerial duels and maintained an average passing accuracy of 70%.
Roshan Singh Naorem – 6.5
Roshan put up an average performance for his side and looked out of sync. He lost the ball possession nine times while making an interception and tackle each. However, he did maintain a passing accuracy of over 80%.
Liston Colaco – 6.5
Liston came on in the second half in Mohun Bagan’s win over Hyderabad FC. He completed 87% of his passes and did not have much of a role to play.
Suresh Singh Wangjam – 6.5
Suresh came on into the second half for the Blues. He did not participate much but still managed to complete 16/19 of his passes, including a key pass. He completed 3/3 long balls and also made an interception.
Amrinder Singh – 6
Amrinder did not have a great week. He conceded three goals and couldn’t do much to save his side. He made two clearances and high claims each, one save and maintained a passing accuracy of 77%.
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu – 5
Gurpreet had a poor outing for Bengaluru FC this week and conceded three goals against FC Goa. He looked out of touch and made silly mistakes that resulted in a goal for the Gaurs. However, he did manage to make two saves.
