Indian Football Transfers: Mohammedan sign duo Jamal Bhuyan, Alen Deory
The Black Panthers have been the busiest of all the teams in the market this week.
The long wait for the seventh season of the Indian Super League is soon to be over. Most ISL teams now have their squad ready while others are in the process of wrapping up the final few transfers. On the other hand, I-League teams are not too far behind. While a number of I-League teams decided to stay put, Mohammedan Sporting Club had a busy last week in the transfer market. Here are the Indian football transfers that were completed in the past week.
Hyderabad FC
Anuj Kumar
Hyderabad FC announced the departure of goalkeeper Anuj Kumar on a loan deal with Real Kashmir. The transfer is a season-long deal, and the Nizams will closely monitor the developments of the keeper with the I-League side.
Yet to make his debut with the Nizams since joining them last season, Anuj Kumar was a part of FC Pune City’s squad for ISL 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
Gokulam Kerala
Mahip Adhikari
Gokulam Kerala FC signed 22-year-old midfielder Mahip Adhikari on Friday. The Malabarians scouted the Garhwal FC midfielder, Mahip Adhikari, during the recently concluded I-League Qualifiers. Adhikari was the vice-captain of his team and provided four assists while marshalling the midfield for the Second Division League side.
Mohammedan Sporting Club
Avinabo Bag
Mohammedan Sporting Club announced the signing of veteran midfielder Avinabo Bag for the upcoming I-League season. The Black Panthers announced the acquisition of the player on Tuesday. Bag had last featured for Bhawanipore FC in the I-League Qualifiers.
The midfielder has played for Kerala Blasters in the ISL, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in the I-League previously.
Jamal Bhuyan
Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuyan has signed for Mohammedan Sporting Club. The club announced the marquee signing on Thursday.
Jamal captained the Bangladesh side against India in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The game ended with the two teams sharing points.

Alen Deory
Former Mumbai City FC and Shillong Lajong forward Alen Deory has signed for the Black Panthers ahead of their I-League campaign.
The Assamese has found minutes hard to come by in the Indian Super League after having represented multiple teams in it. Having played for Mumbai City FC and NorthEast United FC in multiple roles, the 24-year-old would expect his versatility to help him get more minutes in the I-League.
Faisal Ali
Mohammedan SC announced the arrival of youngster Faisal Ali on Saturday. The 21-year-old forward joins after having played in the Second Division League for Bhawanipore FC. He also played a part in the Kolkata side's I-League Qualifiers campaign.
