India vs Nepal Live: Follow Women’s Tri-Nation Tournament Live Updates

Indian Women’s football team will aim to end the 2025 Women’s Tri-Nation Tournament on a high note when they face off against a gritty Nepal side at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Shillong on Monday (27 October, 2025).

The Blue Tigresses are eager to get back to winning ways, but they will face a stern challenge against a hard-working Nepal side in Shillong.

The Stakes

India

India kick of Women's Tri-Nation International Tournament with a loss against Iran

The Blue Tigresses put up a pretty admirable fight against giants, Iran, in their first match of the Women’s Tri Nations Tournament. Despite working hard to neutralise their threat, they were unable to defeat Iran and sustained a 2-0 loss. Crispin Chhetri is now eager to ensure that his side are able to at least finish off this tournament with a positive win and regain their momentum.

He will urge his players to play with their natural attacking style and take the fight to Nepal by playing some smooth, fluid attacking football. A big win over Nepal can instantly rejuvenises the Indian players and help them regain their self-belief, but a draw or another loss can cause a disastrous fall in momentum levels.

Nepal

Nepal also sustained a nasty loss to Iran in their first Women’s Tri Nations Tournament match, which basically rules them out of possibly winning the competition. However, Nepal now have pride to fight for against India in their next game. The Gorkhali Chelis will be fighting to pop up a surprise against the hosts and get a positive win with them back home.

They will be taking up a positive approach against India, troubling their opponents’ backline with quick attacking moves and look to surprise them on the transitions. A win over India at their own yard could be a huge confidence booster for the Nepali players, but another defeat can really damage the morale of the squad.

Team News

Crispin Chhetri is going to have the same squad that featured against Iran in the previous game.

Nepal didn’t suffer any major injuries in their last game and should have the same set of players available for the next one.
