Indian women's team to play friendlies against Egypt and Jordan

The Blue Tigresses are currently training in Goa in the national camp.
The Indian Women’s National Team will be playing Egypt and Jordan in two friendly matches, both of which are to be played in Jordan from April 5-8, 2022. The Blue Tigresses, will thereafter, be joining their respective clubs for the upcoming Hero Indian Women's League 2021-22 season, which begins from April 15 and will run until May 26 in Odisha.
The 30-member Indian women's team under Head Coach Thomas Dennerby are currently in a training camp in Goa from March 28 onwards. The team will leave for Jordan on April 2, 2022.
Head Coach Thomas Dennerby along with Astam Oraon, Apurna Narzary and Martina Thokchom have joined the camp after lifting the SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship trophy in Jamshedpur last week.

India clinched their maiden SAFF U-18 Women's Championship title in their third attempt after topping the league stage. The young Blue Tigresses lost their final fixture to Bangladesh by a 0-1 margin but won the title via a superior goal difference. Both Bangladesh and India finished on nine points each. In the SAFF U-18 Women's Championship, India played four matches and scored 13 goals, while conceding only two — one of which came against Bangladesh in their last match.
Prior to the SAFF Championship, the Indian senior women's team participated in the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022, which took place in India. However, the Blue Tigresses were knocked out from the competition just after one game.
