The Indian skipper had played his 100th game for India earlier.
The Indian football team notched up yet another win in the Intercontinental Cup this time over Kenya at the Mumbai Football Arena on Tuesday, which still remains a happy hunting ground for the Blue Tigers.
The day was very memorable and emotional for Indian football fans as their talisman Sunil Chhetri marked his 100th appearance in national colours. Chhetri has been a revelation throughout his career and an inspiration to youngsters around the country. On his auspicious day, the leader himself stepped up and scored a brace to guide team India to another win.
Then the man himself took to Twitter to thank the thousands of fans who had turned out to cheer for the national team in the metropolis.

The atmosphere was electrifying and it was coupled with celebrations of a great 3-0 win over Kenya on the skipper's 100th milestone. The response to his latest message was also overwhelming as celebrities and fans flooded social media to wish the Indian skipper on his 100th appearance.
In response to Chhetri's tweet, the Indian fans and celebrities alike also congratulated and thanked him for India's performance and his brace against Kenya.
