The India international was the only domestic star to hold his own in a game dominated by foreigners.

Bulgarian football legend Dimitar Berbatov scored his first goal in the Hero Indian Super League for Kerala Blasters FC but it counted for little in the end as the visitors were held 2-2 by ATK at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata, on Thursday.

Kerala Blasters twice took the lead, first through Gudjon Baldvinsson (33 minutes) and then through Dimitar Berbatov (55 minutes) but goals from Ryan Taylor (38 minutes) and Tom Thorpe (75 minutes) helped cancel the leads.

Watch: ATK 2-2 Kerala Blasters highlights

ATK

Soram Poirei- 5.0

With Kerala Blasters' attackers relentlessly striving to send the ball past Soram, the young shot-stopper had a busy day, dealing with them. He impressed with his stunning saves but was helpless when Kerala scored.

Ashutosh Mehta- 5.0

Had a decent game against the southerners. He prevented Prasanth's movements upward. He also whipped in four crosses into the box and was involved heavily in the defence.

Keegan Pereira- 6.0

Watch: Keegan Pereira contributing to the ATK attack

Pereira was brilliant in contending with the movements of CK Vineeth. He did his best to hinder the growth of Kerala Blasters' attack on the left flank and won the battle with Vineeth. The ATK full-back also contributed well to negate Jackichand Singh in the match.

Darren Caldeira- 5.0

The midfielder was not at his best against Kerala Blasters. He was vulnerable to committing fouls and was not that effective on the attacking front for ATK. However, he created two chances and contributed to the defence. His two tackles, one interception, two clearances are a testament to that.

Bipin Singh- 5.5

Lethal upfront, the young Bipin's pacey counters lept the KBFC defence on his toes. Despite being magnificent, he failed to turn these attempts into goalscoring opportunities. Singh's daring runs through the flanks made Prasanth in particular stumble.

Jayesh Rane- 5.5

He looked sharp in the attack for the defending champions. Quick, and agile he swirled in two crosses into the box and performed two tackles.

Substitutes

Rupert Nongrum- 4.0

Came on in the second half. He was replaced after 19 minutes of play. In this short span of playing time, Nongrum did not impact the game much and was not impressive.

Shankar Sampingiraj- 5.0

Replacing Rupert, Shankar performed his duty both in the defence and in the attacking sect. He tried to orchestrate the play for the hosts but was not adept at commanding the game against the vigorous KBFC midfielders.

Kerala Blasters

Subhasish Roy- 4.0

Had a dreadful game. He looked uncomfortable whenever ATK tried for a decent attempt on goal. He just made two saves throughout the game, while conceding two.

Lalruatthara- 5.0

Employed in a 3-man defence, Lalruatthara contributed his flesh and sweat to secure the defense. However, the young defender was vulnerable to committing fouls and the yellow card he received is his fourth of the season. He'll miss their next clash against NorthEast United.

Jackichand Singh- 7.0

One of the best outfield players of the night, Jackichand Singh was a consistent peril at the flanks. His pace, swirling crosses' were all launched from the Right wing. He had tested the depth and quality of the defence of the home side with his fatal moves.

Prasanth- 5.0

Had a mixed day in the fold. Pathetic in the first half, he rose up to the task in the final moments but eventually failed to establish his trade effectively in the attacking third for the visitors. Despite committing several mistakes at the back, the defender managed to successfully register two tackles along with five blocks.

Milan Singh- 5.0

Watch: Milan Singh long ranger against ATK

Did both his defensive and attacking duties, but was not that linchpin for Kerala Blasters'. He coordinated with Berbatov in the middle. He pulled in a stinger but Soram denied it. He made two clearances and four interceptions.

CK Vineeth- 5.0

Not the outcome expected from this clinical finisher. ATK defenders thwarted his movement well and he was floundering to establish himself in the game. Despite playing the entire game, he launched only one cross.

Sahal Abdul Samad- 4.0

Replaced Berbatov in the second half. Debutant Sahal Abdul Samad failed to make an impact in the game. David James introduced him into the game when the need for a goal was at its peak. However, the Keralite failed to do things effectively.
