The Indian players for the hosts dominated the game on the night.
ATK went back to the top of the Indian Super League table with a compelling 2-0 win over FC Goa at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday. Goals from Pritam Kotal and Jayesh Rane in the second half sealed the deal for the Kolkata giants, who jumped over the Gaurs in the standings due to superior goal difference. Here are the player ratings from ATK vs FC Goa: [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]ATK
Arindam Bhattacharya- 6.5
Arindam was troubled at times with Goa’s shots brazing at his goal. But when required to, he came to his side’s rescue by making brilliant clearances and solid saves to deny the visitors and get another clean-sheet in his bag.Prabir Das- 7
Das showed more urgency bombing forward, putting in a few inviting looping crosses to trouble the visitors. Kept a close watch on Len, nullifying his threat. Helped ATK absorb the late onslaught, making four clearances, three interceptions and two blocks in a solid outing. [embed]https://youtu.be/MNX80plTJb8[/embed]WATCH: Match Highlights - ATK 2-0 FC Goa
Pritam Kotal- 8
Kotal flanked his wing-back position efficiently, putting in six timely clearances to disrupt Goa’s fast-paced moves. He proved he can do more than just defend by thumping in a header from close to give ATK the lead. A pretty complete performance from the defender reformed under Antonio Habas.Sumit Rathi- 7
Rathi continued being a reliable figure at the back, doing a solid job in keeping Coro quiet. Lucky to see a careless lunge in the first half not resulting in a penalty. Apart from that, however, he was almost flawless making nine clearances to frustrate the visitors. [KH_ADWORDS type="1" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Michael Soosairaj- 6.5
Soosairaj was ATK’s biggest threat down the wings, making seven interceptions to burst them ahead with swift-breaks. Put in an effective defensive outing by recording four tackles and three clearances, while also wowing the fans with his sizzling movement.Jobby Justin- 5.5
Jobby got the opportunity for impressing against Goa in the reverse-tie and created some opportunities for himself with his clever movement. Shockingly missed a free header in the first half. Put in a proactive performance but couldn’t get the goal he wanted.Substitutes
Jayesh Rane- 6
Rane injected a dose of energy to ATK but shockingly missed a goal-scoring chance from a yard out. Later redeemed himself with a clever finish to seal the three points for his side.Anas Edathodika- N/A
Anas added a calm head to ATK in the dying moments by helping them seal the win and clean sheet! [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]FC Goa
Mohammad Nawaz- 5.5
Nawaz had a tough challenge against the formidable Kolkata-giants but held himself very well. Dealt with ATK’s long-balls with ease. Unable to do anything about Kotal’s emphatic header or Rane’s strike.Seriton Fernandes- 5
Seriton didn’t show much eagerness going forward until the goal, not contributing much defensively either. Burst forward looking for an equalizer and despite playing a few inviting balls, didn’t get his reward. Lost the dual against Rane which lead to the second goal.Mandar Rao Dessai- 6
Mandar refused to be trifled, coming up with five clearances to defuse ATK’s chances. Despite being promising defensively, he had a frustrating evening going forward, barely being able to influence anything for his side.Lenny Rodrigues- 6
Lenny was tidy as ever holding the line in midfield, distributing the ball pretty well. Recorded an impressive 91% passing accuracy but scuffed a few swipes at goal well wide of the target. Couldn’t really create anything definitive even though he worked hard. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Seiminlen Doungel- 5
Len had the chance to impress Lobera but couldn’t really shine through. Threatened with his speed on occasions but was not able to create anything definitive. Switched off during the goal, allowing Krishna to assist Kotal easily. Had a big chance to score in the 68th minute but struck a shot straight at Arindam to waste his opportunity before being subbed out.Manvir Singh- 6.5
Despite playing out-of-position, Manvir put in a hard-working shift as a right-winger. Looked eager to always create something, putting in a few inviting balls and brazing a few shots closer to goal after finding himself in suitable positions. Contributed defensively to keep up with Soosairaj but wasn’t rewarded with a goal or assist. [KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Substitutes
Saviour Gama- 5.5
Gama came on to flood FC Goa’s movement through the left. Fluffed a chance to score after coming on and couldn’t really influence anything.Chinglensana Singh- 5
He came on for Pena in a substitution which didn’t make much sense and fell prey to Krishna’s cunning movement, allowing him to assist the second goal too easily.Latest News
