Javier Pinillos: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu had a very good match

The Spaniard expressed his opinion on the performance of his individual players.

Goals in each half from Erik Paartalu and Sunil Chhetri were enough for the Blues to beat the Men of Steel and leapfrog ATK to the second spot in the points table. Assistant coach Javier Pinillos was evidently satisfied with the result, as he interacted with the media at the post-match press conference. The Spaniard started by expressing his delight at Gurpreet Singh Sandhu's performance on the night. He said, "He had a very good match, some good saves from him. But it was not only him the whole team had a very good match." The Spanish tactician was very satisfied with his compatriot's performance this season overall. "Another great match for Dimas. He did a good job both in defence and attack. He can play wherever he wants and he helps us a lot," he added. When quizzed about Raphael Augusto's availability, Pinillos continued, "I think he will be able to get fit this week. He is training very hard and trying to be as fit as possible." With losses against Mumbai City FC at home and ATK away, Javier Pinillos highlighted that it was tough for his players to keep their spirits high in that period. He can play on the right, on the left and not only in attack, but he is also making us a force in defence on the left side." The coach also had some positive words for Ashique Kuruniyan, who had a decent game against Jamshedpur. "Ashique has a very good quality and characteristic in improving since he has signed with us. We hope that he continues like this as much as possible."
