Coach's Corner

The gaffer was asked about how he felt regarding the game as both the teams right now are almost similarly poised in the league as this match can have immense significance as we move towards the fag end of the season. Owen Coyle said, “Yeah, I think there are many similarities between the game against NorthEast and this. It’s a situation that I feel with Jamshedpur would be the same, that they want to win the match.” He further spoke on that issue by saying, “We certainly have given ourselves with a lot to do with a poor start in terms of the points return from the first six games. But now we are playing as I would suggest quite well, scoring goals, entertaining and winning matches, we have given us a chance to start to climb the table. To do that, I have to say we have to be at our very best." Owen Coyle continued, "Jamshedpur are a very fine side with a fantastic coach, somebody I have got a lot of time for. I enjoyed his company when in my first game against Jamshedpur. when I met him." “So a very good coach, good team but equally we would concentrate on what we can do. If we play to our maximum, again with fantastic support behind us which is really important, then, of course, it is a game that we want to win." "If we do that, you are right; I think there is a chance to close in those places at the top of the league. And that’s sort of the objective, to keep it going and bring an exciting end to the season. The players have been working very hard and they are in a good place to do that. It’s an opportunity to win three games in a row,” Owen Coyle concluded. Chennaiyin have registered only two clean sheets so far. Vishal Kaith was asked about the same and he said, “Not the clean sheet, but the match tomorrow is very important for us. Three points are very important for us. Whether we manage to keep a clean sheet or not, winning the match is of utmost importance. But, we will try our best to not concede any goals. We did well last match and kept a clean sheet. We will try to repeat that.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]
