Winger Dragos Firtulescu also accompanied the tactician as they addressed the media ahead of their first home game of the season against Mumbai City FC.
An upbeat John Gregory and Dragos Firtulescu answered questions on Saturday on their game against Mumbai City FC, their first at home this season.
Having been beaten comprehensively by FC Goa in the first game, Gregory's men will look to bounce back and get the three points against the Islanders, who opened their account with a close away win against Kerala Blasters.
Talking about the match, Dragos weighed in on the matter of getting three important points, having lost the last game. He said, "We are sorry for the result, but are ready for tomorrow. We need to get the three points and make our fans happy. But, most importantly, get the three points."
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]When asked about the possible team composition for the game, coach John Gregory replied, "In the last game against Goa I made three changes as the match wore on and I'm maybe planning to make 1-2 changes tomorrow, maybe two foreigners who didn't start the last game. In the ISL, things come at you very quickly and the players have to be ready and must get on with each other quickly."
One of the major issues highlighted by many coaches this season has been the decision-making from the referees and coach Gregory also joined in the criticism bandwagon saying, "That (the late penalty call from CFC) was the clearest penalty I have ever seen in 50 years of professional football and the referee ruled it out. If it would've been in Europe, the referee would've been demoted to some lower league, where you won't even hear his name. The standard of refereeing must improve."
The coach reiterated the importance of having a winning habit with Chennaiyin slated to play three games in the next seven days. He said, "Tomorrow in front of our home fans, it is the first game for the new players and it will be great to win it and continue winning from there. It is important to win the next two (home) games and it will also give confidence to the boys."

I have found the best place to show my skills here in Chennaiyin and I am confident of the team."
Chennaiyin FC play Mumbai City FC at the Marina Arena at 7:30 PM IST on October 27.
