The Spaniard will become a free agent at the end of the season.

After a disappointing ISL season, Jamshedpur FC management have already started to look ahead for the next campaign. Khel Now can exclusively confirm that the Men of Steel are set to sign the 30-year-old FC Goa midfielder  Edu Bedia for the next season after his contract expires with the Gaurs at the end of this term.

Edu Bedia has made 12 appearances for FC Goa in the ongoing season, making two assists for the Gaurs. However, there are no denial regarding the Spaniard’s qualities and what he could offer to Jamshedpur FC. The midfielder has signed a pre-contract with the Men of Steel, Khel Now understands.

FC Goa, the current employers of Edu Bedia created history by being the first Indian side to play in the group stages of the AFC Champions League under the new format. They achieved this feat by defeating Jamshedpur FC in their last home game at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

While FC Goa have played all their league games, Chennaiyin FC, the last of the playoffs spot holders are yet to play their final league match of the season. A win by the Marina Machans in their final league game will mean FC Goa will play the two-legged semifinals against Bengaluru FC. However, if Chennaiyin FC draw or lose the game, FC Goa will face Chennaiyin FC in the semifinals.

With ₹8 Crore prize money and a trophy at stake, Edu Bedia will hope to leave FC Goa on a better note.
